SUPPORT THIS PROJECT

Gyapa Enterprises' fuel-efficient cookstove, the largest carbon-financed cookstove project under the Gold Standard Registry on the Voluntary Market, reached the milestone of reducing 1 million tons of carbon emissions.

This effort was no small feat. EnterpriseWorks, a division of Relief International, launched the initiative in 2002 with seed funding from the Shell Foundation, USAID, and the U.S. EPA.

It couldn't have been accomplished without over 1,000 Ghanaian entrepreneurs in the value chain who produce, distribute and commercialize the Gyapa cookstove.

This project relies on finance from companies and individuals offsetting their carbon emissions. Find out more on our Carbon Revenue page.
